Matsui Shuzo, historically a sake brewery and shochu distiller in Kurayoshi, Tottori, opened the Kurayoshi Distillery and began in-house single-malt distillation in 2017. The Matsui single malts (including Mizunara cask) and The Kurayoshi blends are exported widely through ImpEx Beverages in the US and Skurnik. The distillery sources select grain/malt domestically for blends while distilling single malt in-house. San-In region water defines the house style.
