Tentaka Shuzo in Tochigi ('hawk in the heavens') is one of only two breweries holding organic certification in Japan, the US and the EU simultaneously. Its Tokubetsu Junmai is a dry, crisp, earthy sake widely distributed in the US via Vine Connections and Kome Collective. President Ozaki has driven sustainability through local sourcing and byproduct reuse. The organic Organaka and ultra-premium lines extend the range.
CertificationsTriple organic certification (JAS / USDA / EU) applies to the BREWERY (Tentaka is one of only two breweries with triple organic certification per importer) — but it is the brewery's ORGANAKA line that is the certified-organic product. 'Hawk in the Heavens' (Tokubetsu Junmai) is NOT itself organic-certified per the importer's product page. Restate organic for THIS SKU as not applicable/unverified.
